About This Creator
Ever since early childhood, Lisa Monde has been studying acting, singing and music professionally. She has acquired a Master’s Degree in English Linguistics/ Translation and Education and later – a Ph.D. in Musical Pedagogy (Musical Theater vocal performance).
Having lived in many different countries throughout her life, Lisa is fluent in English, Russian, French and German.
Her solo career as a singer/ songwriter began in 2004. In her portfolio there are: 13 CD’s with original songs and instrumental music, a great number of concert performances, TV rotations of music videos, dozens of musical compositions for cinema, theatre and radio broadcasts, as well as 7 staged musicals (with original music and libretto): «Songs about Fairytales» (2007), «Moscow-Paris» (2008), «L.O.V.E. Little Odd Voyage of an Extraterrestrial.» (2009), «Francois Villon: three days in Paris.» (2010), «The Pirate Story» (2011), “Dracula’s Call” (2012), “I Cry You Mercy Everyone” (2013).
Lisa is also a playwright and author of a number of short plays as well as full length plays including the Historical Drama “I Know All Save Myself Alone”, “Dali’s Dream”, “Master Class in Suicide Notes Writing” and “Dracula: Finding of a Shadow”.
The area of her scientific interest is Musical Theatre. Starting from 2006 up to present she has written and published over 50 scientific works, some of which in the most prestigious scientific journals. Two books by Lisa Monde have been published in 2011 – «The Health of the Singer’s Voice » – a richly illustrated tutorial for singers, and the «Acmeology of the artistic performance », in which the issues of highest achievements of the Musical Theatre performers are being analyzed.
In 2008 Lisa starts her pedagogical activity as the vocal coach. She worked with vocalists, actors, children, that were to participate in productions of various Musicals. The results of her teaching achievements have been registered in the form of patents.
Since 2009 she lives in New York, USA, where she has graduated from the New York Film Academy (Musical Theatre Conservatory Program) as well as the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute (Acting).
She appeared Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway in various plays and musicals. The latest shows include: La Cage Aux Folles (Jacqueline) at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center, Of Mice and Men (Curley’s Wife) at the Gene Frankel Theater, Arsene Lupin vs Sherlock Holmes (Alexandra Raffles Holmes) with Onomatopoeia Theater Company, I Cry You Mercy Everyone (Isabel) at the Davenport Theater, Dali’s Dream (Coco Chanel) at the 4th Street Theater, Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hippolyta) with Gorilla Repertory Theater Company.
Memberships include: SAG-AFTRA, CID (International Dance Council, UNESCO), DGA (Dramatists Guild of America), NACUSA, AFM and AGMA (American Guild of Musical Artists).
